David Duriez - On & On / Can You See Dat (2020 Remastered) [Housewax]

It is very difficult to introduce David Duriez without writing an encyclopedic tome, as his influence on House music in France was decisive. Since his beginnings in 1992, David has released over a hundred records under his own name, dozens under various pseudonyms, mainly on vinyl and on the most renowned labels such as 2020Vision, Ovum, Systematic, Pokerflat, F Communication, Under the Counter, Stickman, Crosstown Rebels, The End, etc. (the list is long, see Discogs to be convinced), and has also done numerous remixes for some of the biggest artists (think Moby, Dj Sneak, Gemini, DJ Hell, Llorca, Telex, Random Factor, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Johnson, Jori Hulkkonen, Ralph Lawson, Random Factor, Kenny Hawkes or Mr.C).

Founder of the Brique Rouge label and a whole galaxy of other labels, he participated in the creation of internationally recognized labels such as Robsoul with Phil Weeks, Freak n'Chic with Dan Ghenacia (from Apollonia) or Rz Muzik. At a time when David had gathered online the cream of House producers through a forum (long before social networks), Ivan Smagghe nicknamed him "the producers' producer", a true activist of House Music.

But above all, David Duriez is a devastating DJ on the dance floor. He made several tours around the world and played in some of the biggest clubs worldwide between 1995 and 2010. Truly one of the most important players on the French electro scene, David is back in business after a few years of hiatus. But don't call it a comeback because he has never really left, he has been observing the scene and is now back in the studio. You can expect a (very) long series of releases for 2016, you've been warned!
