DAVI - Nosferatu [Crosstown Rebels]

Armenian artist DAVI unveils his third EP on Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels imprint. Following ‘Lie Machine’, ‘Two Suns In the Sky’ and ‘Gates Of Babylon’, DAVI’s latest EP showcases a more high-octane sound than his previous releases, leaning into potent basslines and fast-paced percussion.

The title track kicks off with hypnotic drums and sporadic, quick-fire claps, as a warped synth line snakes through the soundscape. A heavily distorted vocal adds a psychedelic edge, building a tension perfect for a packed dancefloor.

On the B-side, ‘Mirage’ feels like a dip in the Balearic sea: warm, undulating and radiant. A pounding kick drum drives the beat, slinking between a deep bassline and distorted vocals, achieving a potent blend of dark and light textures.

Armenia-born DJ, producer, and musician DAVI has been on an upward trajectory for the last decade, releasing on renowned labels such as All Day I Dream, Crosstown Rebels, RADIANT, and Rebellion to name a few. He has received support from the likes of Damian Lazarus, Bedouin, Audiofly, Sebastian Leger, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and John Digweed.
