Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons ft. Chela - Five Moons (Incl. Jamie Jones & Luciano Remixes) [Crosstown Rebels]

Damian Lazarus’ magical live project, The Ancient Moons, returns today with their new single, Five Moons.

The band, led by Lazarus, features Ben Chetwood on drums, Rob Gentry on keys, and new vocalist J Appiah. Five Moons also features Australian punk sensation Chela for a dub and soul excursion into the darkest corners of the dance floor.

The Ancient Moons debuted in 2014 with Lover's Eyes and subsequently released the acclaimed album Message From The Other Side, described by The Fader as "a journey into the most dreamlike recesses of techno" and by Vice as "a psychedelic masterpiece." Since then, The Ancient Moons have toured the world with their highly immersive live show, supported Roisin Murphy on tour, and performed at festivals such as Glastonbury and Melt!, among others.

Last year, the band reappeared after retreating to record in the Italian countryside, with I Found You, a track that received recognition as a BBC Essential New Tune and spectacular remixes from Black Coffee and Patrice Baumel. Today, Five Moons offers another preview of the upcoming album, due to be released this summer.
