With his striking fifth studio album Magickal still reverberating across the global electronic scene, Damian Lazarus now presents the second half of the project’s ambitious remix series. Available from September 26th via Crosstown Rebels, Magickal Remixed (Part II) brings together the talents of Cinthie, Timo Maas, and Anthony Middleton, with each of these three renowned artists bringing their unique perspective to the Crosstown boss’s latest long-player. Available on both digital and vinyl formats, this three-track package picks up the energy from Part I — which featured versions from Harry Romero, Jonathan Kaspar, Mëstiza, and THEMBA’s earlier remix for the lead single Searchin’ — continuing a journey that reimagines Magickal’s most iconic moments through fresh, dancefloor-ready interpretations.

Opening the release, Berlin favourite Cinthie takes on Y Don’t U, injecting her warm analogue touch and signature groove, transforming the album cut into a silky, floor-focused track that radiates her unmistakable house sound. Next up, long-term innovator Timo Maas delivers his remix of Warrior Dance, Lazarus’s amapiano-inspired collaboration with Ghanaian artist Jojo Abot. Reduction and reconstruction combine to twist the track into a hypnotic and deep affair, with Maas balancing subtle percussive details with pulsating bass, creating an intoxicating new dimension.

Closing the EP, Anthony Middleton, one half of Audiofly, reshapes the soulful So Low featuring Zoe Kypri into a textured, emotion-laden journey, intertwining the vocal lines with expansive sound design and enveloping grooves.
