Clive From Accounts - Clive By Night [Dirt Crew]

Clive From Accounts is back on Dirt Crew Recordings! After some excellent contributions and remixes for the acclaimed New York label "Razor-N-Tape", he delights us again with three new gems that show the great diversity of his productions. Since his first Cooking the Books EP in 2021 and the Pearls EP in 2022, he has continued to gain a solid fanbase, so we know many of you have been waiting for new tracks from him.

The opening track, "That Rhythm," is a smooth deep house roller with dusty and chopped samples, inspired by US and French masters, but with an added UK sub-bass. This is followed by the wonderfully crafted "Maceo," a groovy jazz-funk instrumental built around the genius of The JBs legends, Fred Wesley and Maceo Parker.

Closing out this new EP is the acid-laden title track, "Clive by Night," deep and lush house music for which we've loved him since his first release on our label. Here he finds joy in deep, evolving repetition, an homage to the 303 and Xpander. Best when played at night.
