The third installment of Risk/Reward comes from Chuwee, a producer originally from California and based in Brooklyn, a rising star whose records are already part of the bags of some of the most demanding selectors in the scene. Together with his peers Sasta, Seb Hall, and Gaspar Muniz, under the name Wizards on Waverly, they present a collection of authentic, funk-infused floor-fillers that is as creative as it is versatile.

On side A, '4TJADEN' combines electro-house drums with a crunchy sound, a twisted and monstrous analog bassline, and strings inspired by 80s synth-pop. Later, euphoric chords and a demolishing acid line propel the track straight into the cosmos.

Next, 'Let's Talk About Sex' offers a potent dose of West Coast electro-funk, ideal for making the dancefloor bounce. An irresistibly addictive bassline, bold vocals, mysterious-sounding synths, and California-born acid flashes combine to create a festive and contagious cut that never fails on the dancefloor.

On side B, 'Slippy Jim's' slows the tempo slightly with a relaxed, dub-spirited, and steady groove, perfect for opening a set, accompanying an outdoor afternoon, or playing in the last beats of the after-party. Crunchy analog drums rest on a warm, playful bass, while dub chords, an imposing lead synth, and vintage-flavored Jamaican spoken vocals transport listeners directly to an after-party in Kingston, where rum and good vibes flow equally.

To complete the EP, Grant Dell, one of the pioneers of the dub tech house sound, delivers a colossal remix, loaded with power capable of shaking any sound system. Robust and meticulously crafted drums, a deep and steady bassline, acidic textures, and dub chords create an authentic weapon for the dancefloor. It all culminates in an epic breakdown featuring a legendary vocal that stays etched in the mind long after the track ends.
