Charlotte de Witte - Universal Consciousness [KNTXT]

Charlotte de Witte takes the reins for the fifteenth release on her KNTXT label with the new *Universal Consciousness* EP. This work comes after Amazingblaze's *Venture* EP and includes four more tracks of powerful and psychedelic techno.

In April, Charlotte will host her biggest KNTXT party to date in her hometown of Ghent, where she will deliver a historic 10-hour set to a crowd that will experience an unforgettable night journey. That same month, Charlotte will return to London's iconic Printworks for the first time in five years, this time with her KNTXT concept, promising to once again elevate the venue's standards. Despite her busy touring schedule, she continues to curate the Apple Music x KNTXT page while still creating fresh sounds in the studio. This latest EP represents a subtle evolution in her characteristic style.

About the EP, Charlotte comments: "After my last EP *Asura* in September, I decided to delve a little deeper into the world of psychedelia. All the tracks on the EP are inspired by psy, some more than others. I've been playing these tracks in clubs for a while, and it's been a real pleasure to see the audience's reaction and the number of track ID requests online. This work is for you, I hope you enjoy my *Universal Consciousness EP*."

The opening track, *Satori*, is dark and forceful. Raw, robust drums hit hard while bubbling acid synths expand through the mix. A hypnotic, oriental-influenced vocal adds a trance element that is sure to capture the hearts and minds of the audience. Meanwhile, *Kali* is an elegant, high-speed piece that showcases the connection between psy trance and techno. Video-game-style synths glide alongside alien sound effects, while an evolving acid line embeds itself deep in your brain.

Next, the dynamic, vibrant, and acidic title track *Universal Consciousness* features elastic kicks and visceral 303 loops that melt the mind as dancers fall under its hypnotic spell. Finally, *Ahimsa* combines brilliant acid synths and forceful percussive drums. It's a perfect blend of physical groove and psychedelic synth work, ideal for sweaty basements and massive main rooms alike. When the mystic flutes enter, it takes everything to a whole new level.
