Charlotte de Witte inaugurates her new KNTXT label with an epic collaboration alongside techno icon Chris Liebing on Liquid Slow, due out September 27. The CLR boss and pioneering German techno artist has been a regular at KNTXT parties over the years, most notably at the sold-out event at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp last year, which he will return to this November alongside de Witte, right after this new EP’s release.

The influential duo spent time together at Awakenings Festival last year, where the idea for the collaboration first came up. “I recorded the sound of a crane already taking things apart next to us, and I thought that would be a nice starting point,” Chris comments. While admitting the sample didn't make it onto this release, he teased a potential future collaboration saying: “who knows, maybe there's more to come, I still have the recording.”

Charlotte de Witte, current BBC Radio 1 resident, is enjoying another unstoppable summer bringing her dark, raw, and powerful sounds to the world's most important clubs and festivals. She adds: “we shared a lot of laughs, a couple of beers, and a million different versions in the mix of both tracks. I consider Chris a friend and I am extremely proud and honored to have worked with him on this EP.”

The title track, Liquid Slow, offers seven minutes of heavy, hypnotic techno. With an acidic bassline and thumping kick drums, the track moves forward with a wandering synth and dark spoken word narration that will trap the dance floor from beginning to end. In Memory ramps up the intensity with deep drums and bass, while acidic sounds and hard-hitting beats solidify the groove. Another powerful and captivating cut from this essential duo.

This release marks an exciting new chapter in the story of Charlotte de Witte and her KNTXT label. Now also a record label, in addition to a radio show and event series, KNTXT seeks to establish itself as a progressive player within the vibrant techno scene.
