Charlotte de Witte continues her fantastic run of releases with this vinyl titled Asura on her KNTXT label. All three tracks on this release will be exclusively featured in her BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.

As well as getting back to touring and offering her high-intensity DJ sets in the world’s best clubs and festivals, Charlotte has been busy in other areas. She has formed a new alliance with Apple Music and is now curating several exclusive mix series, including the monthly KNTXT Residency Mix and KNTXT Active, where the Belgian artist and her label further investigate the connections between high-performance music, sport, and BPMs. She recently remixed the influential trance classic "The Age Of Love" by Age Of Love alongside Enrico Sangiuliano, and continues to handle the A&R for essential new tracks for her label.

About this EP, Charlotte comments: "With Asura EP I’m trying to give you a little insight into my musical influences, going back to my roots. We’re talking about a young Charlotte who, around 12 or 13 years ago, delved into the world of electronic music by attending her first underground clubs and raves. From electro and techno to acid core, hardcore, and psytrance. This EP flirts with the soundscapes of the latter."

This EP finds Charlotte digging into her own past in electronic music with plenty of psychedelic influences. The opening track, Asura, is a vibrant techno track with big chords that bring color. They are elegant and metallic, sure to raise hands in the air, with acidic sounds and rumbling bass adding weight and depth to this fantastic opener. Soma is another dramatic and psychedelic track with hard-edged drums that punch beneath heavenly chords. They are mysterious and emotional, bringing color to the darkness. Finally, another big track arrives with psytrance undertones and emotional rollercoasters on Stigma, with its enveloping techno groove and a bassline that sounds like it’s being fired from a machine gun. After an acid breakdown, the drums roll back in, and it's sure to sweep even the largest festival crowd away.

Charlotte de Witte once again leads the way with her outstanding new Asura EP.
