If there’s one thing we at International Feel know, it’s that good things take time. But sometimes, just sometimes, they take a little longer than expected. Thus arrives IFEEL088, a split 12” of remixes that unites two albums, two projects, and a collection of like-minded spirits who understand the delicate art of sonic transformation.

Charlie Charlie (the Swedish duo of Chords and Bella Boo) have long admired Mondag, ever since their ears first met the melancholic splendour of Sad Soup. When it came time to craft Save Us, they had a special request: a saxophone solo from Kristian (famed for his work in Mondag). A beautiful idea, but as so often happens with fate (and studio schedules), the brass never quite made it onto the album.

Time passed, and what began as a missed opportunity has now come full circle. Mondag, still captivated by Save Us, took the initiative and offered a remix—an unexpected, glowing reinvention of a track that already carried considerable weight. Charlie Charlie gladly accepted. And since there’s never too much of a good thing, Bella Boo herself turns in a tight, nimble version, while Gerd Janson wraps the track in an ambient haze, ideal for those who prefer a more horizontal experience.

Hypernatural inhabit a liminal space between waking and dreaming, so it makes sense that their remixes play with perspective. The trio—Dan Whitford (Cut Copy), Mirko Vogel, and Mike Gamwell (aka Knightlife)—crafted their album between the Swedish coast and the Scottish Highlands, capturing the sublime and the surreal in equal measure. Now, it's time to cede control to new guides.

Mike Gamwell himself steps up with a new version that bends and stretches time, while Gerd Janson returns to contribute another piece to the puzzle, fitting perfectly into the hazy, enveloping nature of Hypernatural's sound.

One record, two projects, three perspectives, and infinite interpretations. IFEEL088 is a reminder that sometimes, the best things in life are worth the wait.
