Dune Castle Records presents… For Private Use Only by Cantrips, two intense psychedelic funk pieces composed by Cantrips' Patrick Ryan and recorded live in one day by a studio band.

Cantrips is a psychedelic funk and cinematic soul group from Melbourne, led by multi-instrumentalist and studio producer Patrick Ryan. With a strong sensibility for grooves, Ryan composes head-nodding psychedelic funk music from the Dune Castle Throne Room, a DIY studio in Thornbury, Melbourne, from which the Dune Castle Records label operates.

The Prayer and The Big Break are two explosive psychedelic funk tracks that take inspiration from David Axelrod's work as a composer and producer for the psychedelic pop and rock group The Electric Prunes. Axelrod created two concept albums that integrated Gregorian music with psychedelic pop and rock, staying true to his inclination for cinematic psychedelia and jazz funk. These two songs explore momentum and energy, facilitated by the need to be fully present during a live recording session.
