Butch - Glory Night [Running Back]

Butch's unmistakable music has always proudly shown the influence of disco. Both his mega-hit No Worries and his first contribution to the Running Back catalogue, Desire, are essentially modern disco records. The same is true of his return to the label with Glory Night, perhaps even more so, thanks to its vintage-cut engineering and authentic sound treatment. Equipped with the genre's signature sounds and structured like a lost late-70s disco edit, Butch applies the magic formulas that today's dancers demand, creating one of those unique peak-time sensations: complete with confetti, an explosive breakdown, and an additional rhythm section included as an extra tool.

Just Chill and Just Fly continue this narrative. While the former appeals to R&B or funk fans (though no samples were harmed in the process), it's tremendously catchy and creates an irresistible whirlwind. The latter, meanwhile, leans on the principles of deep house and engages in contemplation. Either way, here are a couple of tracks that work on almost any dance floor and at any time.
