Son d’Étroit label head, Boran Ece, unveils the imprint’s second release “Reprise,” accompanied by a Mihai Popoviciu remix.

Following the label’s debut release, founder Boran Ece returns to Son d’Étroit with the imprint’s second installment this December. The first release, “Relance,” set the tone for the label, appearing on Spotify’s Lo-Fi House playlist, receiving support from John Digweed, Alexi Delano, and Guy J, and selling out on vinyl within weeks.

Following closely, the Basel-based DJ and producer now steps up to deliver his latest single, “Reprise,” accompanied by a remix from Romanian favorite Mihai Popoviciu.

Ece’s original features a vibrant blend of dynamic vocals amongst refined melodies, weighty kick drums, and subtle dub chords that together offer a hypnotic and immersive house cut. Following, Mihai Popoviciu’s slick rendition introduces a bouncy, snaking groove driven by swung percussions, resonant stabs, and psychedelic vocal snippets.
