Boogie Vice & N-You-Up return to Definitive Recordings with ‘Decadisco EP’

Definitive Recordings continues its streak of forward-thinking house releases with DEF2603, the new four-track ‘Decadisco EP’ by Boogie Vice and N-You-Up. Following their 2025 collaboration, ‘Come On Closer,’ the duo returns to the label with a fresh collection of groove-driven dancefloor tools, balancing a modern energy with solid classic house fundamentals. Their recent releases on sister label Get Physical Music further reinforce the great creative momentum they are currently experiencing.

Boogie Vice is a French DJ and producer renowned for his groove-laden house sound, merging elements of funk, soul, and a percussive, club-oriented energy. With releases on labels like Get Physical, Rekids, and Definitive Recordings, he has earned a reputation for his warm, dancefloor-focused productions, supported by selectors and tastemakers worldwide. Currently based in Cape Town, Boogie Vice has expanded his creative endeavors into film scoring and executive production, bringing a new dimension to his already rich musical palette.

Meanwhile, N-You-Up, the alias of French artist Nick, brings decades of DJ experience and a deep passion for jazz, funk, and disco. Formerly known as The Beatangers, he now channels these influences into a refined house fusion under his N-You-Up project. Alongside Boogie Vice, he has released collaborations on labels such as Nervous Records and Get Physical Music, garnering support from key artists including Solomun, Dennis Ferrer, Jamie Jones, Pete Tong, Laurent Garnier, Radio Slave, and Mita Gami. All of this has cemented the duo as a reliable source of house music designed to work on any dancefloor.

The EP opens with ‘Game Concept,’ a hard-hitting house cut built on percussive drums, a classic, enveloping bassline, and catchy vocal samples. Deep, atmospheric synth chords float over the groove, creating an opening that is as hypnotic as it is energetic.

Next up is ‘Wurkin Like Dat,’ a house track with clear disco influences that builds groove upon groove as vocal snippets and disco elements take center stage, generating an irresistible momentum for the dancefloor.

Two DJ-focused versions of ‘Wurkin Like Dat’ complete the release. The Invasion Tool version reduces the track to its essential elements, making it a flexible club tool, while the Drumapella isolates the percussion and rhythm, offering maximum versatility for creative mixes.

With ‘Decadisco EP,’ Boogie Vice and N-You-Up once again demonstrate Definitive Recordings' ability to deliver contemporary house anthems that pay homage to the genre's roots while propelling its sound into the future.
