Black Loops - Experience EP [Freerange Records]

Black Loops is an endlessly creative producer who has brought constant innovation to house music since his first release over a decade ago. His panoramic sounds are inspired by funk, soul, and disco, and are underpinned by his love of 90s grooves. These appeal to DJs and dancers alike, which explains the constant demand for his DJ sets worldwide, as well as the fact that his music is played and supported by the biggest names in the scene.

After many years of releasing essential 12” records and remixes, he now brings together everything he has learned and raises the bar with his anticipated debut album, due out on May 9, 2025. As a preview of the LP, we present the Experience EP, where Jimpster and Black Loops himself deliver Dub versions of two of the album's most prominent tracks: Electrical and Experience.

Jimpster opens with an Italo-inspired groover, featuring a minimalist, rolling rhythm, modular synth sequences, string stabs, and echoing vocals. Black Loops follows with his own version, keeping the funk factor intact thanks to guitar riffs, synth flashes, and a thick Moog bassline.

On the flip side, we find the original version of Experience with Marlena Dae's vocals, infused with an unmistakable 90s vibe reminiscent of Madonna's Vogue era. Then, Black Loops takes it straight to the dance floor in his Dancefloor Dub, stripping out the vocals and building a minimalist, powerful groove for dancers.

Closing out the release is an exclusive original track, not included on the LP, titled Inmasoul. Jazzy and deep beats set the tone here, making for a perfect track to warm up the dance floor and set the atmosphere.
