It's always fun to let our audience peek through the peephole of the party with some hot behind-the-scenes info. For months, Black Light Smoke's Control EP has been one of the secret aces in label boss Tiga's sessions. In fact, he's been consistently sneaking it out after 9 pm to play it wherever they'll let him. And it's no wonder for those who are wondering why: the Chicago-born producer's blend of EBM, electro, and Benadryl-soaked vocals gets all the right ones dancing.

The opening track, New York Is Dead, eulogizes the Big Apple's famous dance party scene in a way that will puzzle those who have embraced the vibrant Groove With the Avengers daytime rave series in Times Square. But the taste for nihilism doesn't end there: the Friday-Til-I-Die spirit of Black Hole at the Disco, the faux-leather post-cyberpunk of Last Song Before Sunrise, and the oxygen-deprived acid of Break Your Back culminate in the peak 11:45 am industrial trance of Mind Control, the EP's closing track.

And because we want this to reach as many inhabitants as possible of the apocalyptic landscape we more or less foresee for 2034, we've decided to release this EP in both digital and vinyl formats.
