For their fourth release, Moonworks reissues a British house rarity from 1995: Big Surge – Project A / Project AA.

Originally produced by Paul Kelly, Andrew Grimwood and John Viney in a small studio in North London, the record has become a secret weapon for seasoned selectors. Original copies are difficult to find and fetch high prices on the second-hand market, so this official reissue arrives as a very welcome rescue.

The release channels the playful spirit of the mid-nineties London underground, full of character and unmistakable charm. Project A is a rolling, progressive cut with a powerful bassline, loaded with enveloping synths and clipped vocal snippets. It's accompanied by a new edit from Kiev-born producer Nizar Sarakbi, who refines the track into a subtle and energetic version, designed for today's dancefloors. On the flip side, Project AA offers a euphoric surge of roaring bass, vocoder hooks, and peak-time piano riffs: a timeless floor-filler from start to finish.

As with their previous releases, Moonworks has worked directly with the original artists to remaster the tracks and refresh the artwork, giving this lost gem a fitting return to circulation.
