A multifaceted artist who, throughout his career, has transitioned between being a singer-songwriter, hit producer, DJ, and curator, Ben Westbeech now arrives at Glitterbox Recordings with a fully realized artistic vision in his new album Everything Is Within You.

The album encapsulates Ben's appreciation for the inner power we all possess to achieve joy and peace, a message conveyed through every musician involved. Everything Is Within You was born organically and marks his first solo LP since the acclaimed There's More To Life Than This on Strictly Rhythm (2011). Here, Ben showcases his evolution as a composer, curator, and producer, taking on a more behind-the-scenes role in production and arrangements, moving away from vocal prominence.

The album features collaborations with artists such as Dames Brown (recorded by Moodymann in Detroit), RAHH, Karen Harding, DAVIE, and Obi Franky, as well as co-production credits from figures like Honey Dijon, Luke Solomon, Chris Penny, and Mousse T. The project originated from a songwriting camp organized by Glitterbox at Defected's studios in London. The collection of tracks created during that week served as a catalyst for this album, which is now released under Glitterbox Recordings, a Defected label.

With a rich and diverse musical history, from his mature debut Welcome to the Best Years of Your Life on Brownswood (Gilles Peterson's label), to his dancefloor hits as Breach, and his work as The Vision for Defected, the journey to this new album has included periods of sobriety, inner work, spiritual exploration, and a transformation towards a healthier life perspective. Now based in Ibiza, the omnipresent energy of the magical island has also seeped into the music of this new project, along with the influence of his personal and spiritual growth.

Across the eight tracks that make up the LP, a wide range of genres are explored, from neo-soul to house influences, reflecting Ben's vast musical knowledge. From the laid-back piano grooves of Times Are Changing—remixed by icons Louie Vega and Josh Milan as Two Soul Fusion—to the optimism of Do Me Right and the emotional landscapes of So Good To Me, Everything Is Within You gives prominence to the guest vocalists. With exquisite live instrumentation and careful composition that gives the album a timeless feel, this is a work that arrives at just the right time.
