Bedouin Featuring Marieme - Reason [Human By Default]

Bedouin joins forces with vocalist Marieme for their latest release, Reason, out now on the duo's label, Human By Default. The track is part of the label's fifth-anniversary celebrations.

Reason combines Bedouin's hypnotic grooves and emotive melodies with Marieme's soulful and evocative vocals. Her lyrics explore themes of identity, freedom, and self-perception, resulting in a collaboration that balances movement with emotional depth.

Composed by Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe, Bedouin has spent over a decade developing a genre-bending sound, rooted in their Middle Eastern heritage and Western upbringing. Their music has been featured on Crosstown Rebels, Big Beat, and other labels, while their Ibiza residency, SAGA — now at Chinois Ibiza — has become an island staple since 2017. The duo has also performed at Coachella, Tomorrowland, Kappa Futur, Burning Man, Ushuaïa, and Hï Ibiza.

Marieme, born in Mauritania and raised between Senegal and the United States, brings a distinctive narrative approach through her recent singles Harmony, Tell Me, and Havana Nights. Her work promotes self-love and liberation, expressed with a powerful vocal presence.
