Raised in Curitiba and based in Milan, Bárbara Boeing returns with Pantelleria, a track from the Memoir EP, her second release on Toy Tonics, due out on November 1st.

After many years of digging for dancefloor gems and refining her ear, Bárbara reached a point where she felt ready and inspired to make her own music, releasing her debut Brasiliana on Toy Tonics in 2023, a collection of tracks that did not seek cohesion among themselves, but rather aimed to reflect the breadth of sounds and genres that her DJ sets incorporate.

Since then, Bárbara has continued her journey of evolving from a respected selector to a music producer, and now she returns with 4 new, colorful and energetic tracks. This time, Bárbara went into the studio to collaborate on two tracks for the EP with Stump Valley and also reunited with Sam Ruffillo (both from Toy Tonics). The result is a 4-track EP that combines a mix of 80s and early 90s music with genres she often incorporates in her sets, plus some diverse influences she picked up during her tour in Asia.

With 17 years of honing her craft, Bárbara's highly acclaimed DJ sets are always sprinkled with music from her homeland and across Latin America, encompassing everything from Balearic, Proto and Italo House, Synth pop, Disco, Zouk, Kwaito and more. In 2024, Bárbara will be performing at various festivals such as Gop Tun and Lost Village, as well as making her North American debut, while in recent years she has been part of the lineup of some of the best dance music festivals, including Polifonic, Melt, Kala, Nuits Sonores, Time Warp, Listen, Lente Kabinet, Dekmantel Selectors and Dekmantel in São Paulo.

This year will also see her launch her own party, Bárbara Boeing Convida (which means "invites"). As the name suggests, Convida will see Bárbara inviting artists she admires to play alongside her in different locations around the world, with editions already confirmed in cities such as Paris, London and Milan. "I love bringing my music to people," she said. "Showing people music is what makes me happiest."
