Legendary Brazilian jazz-funk trio Azymuth will release “Arabutã” (Daniel Maunick Dub), a vinyl-only 7” single, on December 13th, 2024. This limited edition serves as a captivating preview of the band's eagerly anticipated new album, set for release in 2025.

“Arabutã”, taking its name from the Tupi-Guarani word for the endangered Pernambuco tree, highlights Azymuth's signature fusion of timeless Brazilian jazz-funk and cosmic futurism. As a symbol of both the value and fragility of Brazil’s natural beauty, Arabutã reminds us of the importance of indigenous wisdom for ecological preservation.

In the hands of long-time Azymuth producer and collaborator Daniel Maunick, “Arabutã” has been adapted for a special two-part, mid-tempo dub mix, engineered for the dancefloor, in 7” format.

The limited edition 7” single is available to pre-order exclusively from the Far Out Recordings website and Bandcamp ahead of its December 13th, 2024 release, and will also be available at shows on Azymuth’s upcoming European tour.
