Art Department - Paper Cuts EP [Rawax]

Rawax places another heavyweight on the board with Art Department, as Jonny White returns to vinyl to tear it up after a three-year hiatus. The “Paper Cuts” EP marks his first solo release in that time, assigning the listener distinct moods, from emotional, almost tearful garage house (“Walk With Me”) to bombs made to blow up the dancefloor (“Jonny’s Inferno”).

White's imposing presence on the scene is also felt in “Paper Cuts” and “Jazz Hours,” with increasingly stealthy atmospheres, worthy of a private dance detective rummaging through the back rooms of the club for evidence.
