ANiML consists of accomplished electronic artists with extensive careers. Their Stratasonic label has established itself as a respected platform for their freeform musical explorations, unrestricted by genre. They frequently invite influential friends and pioneers to collaborate on their releases, and their original productions are characterized by improvisation, creative composition, and the intentional cross-pollination of different moods and grooves.

“Unioness” offers a delicate yet defined nocturnal sound. Smooth jazzy melodies float over orchestral arrangements, while drum breaks cascade beneath. Abstract vocals and serene strings further enrich this sophisticated sound, which draws references from film scores and instrumental soul groups.

Stoned Autopilot is an alias of veteran studio wizard Martin Buttrich, who is also part of Better Lost Than Stupid and boasts an extensive catalog on several of the scene's most renowned labels. His dub version glides on gentle waves, with melancholic vocals blending into the mix, while melodies repeat, blur, and expand hypnotically.

The second rework comes from DJ Sneak, the prolific and tireless Chicago house innovator, whose characteristic raw and dancefloor-oriented sound keeps him in a league of his own. His excellent “Big Bawse Re-Rub” delivers a rolling four-on-the-floor groove, a delicate layer of percussion, and a looping rhythm that hooks and immerses you, while curious melodies unfold on top.
