Anané's colorful musical career has seen her do it all: from singing at the famous Super Bowl XLI pre-game show as part of the group Elements of Life, to performing as a DJ at iconic venues such as Hi Ibiza, Pacha NYC, and Ushuaïa, to name a few. She has also developed her own monthly residency, Nulu Movement, now ten years strong at Le Bain NYC, in addition to releasing original fusions of Afro, house, and pop on labels like Vega Records and running her own labels, Nulu Music and Nulu Electronic.

Born in Cape Verde, DJ, producer, vocalist, and songwriter, Anané has accumulated countless club hits and released acclaimed albums such as ‘Ananésworld’ and ‘Chapters Of Becoming,’ frequently with an exuberant, organic, and orchestrated style that is truly unique.

With this release, Anané steps forward with what is her first solo production to date. Here she presents the exquisite ‘It Looks Like Love,’ an elegant and sophisticated house track where her own sensual and soulful vocals, accompanied by refined strings, bring color to an Afro groove loaded with contagious energy. Delicate guitar riffs and soft synthesizers further enrich this refined sound.

The first remix reunites Anané with Italian veteran Christian Mantini, who has co-hosted the Sunset Ritual parties with Anané and Louie Vega since 2013. His dub version is built on warm and elastic drums that further deepen the immersive character of the original.

Manda Moor and Sirus Hood form one of the most outstanding duos on the contemporary circuit, leading the Mood label and helping to define today's underground sound. Their remix is more direct and driven by club energy, yet retains the soulful spirit through light pads and jazzy motifs that appear and disappear over a groove full of attitude.

Finally, Jamie 3:26 —originally from Chicago and currently based in Rotterdam— demonstrates why he is a master at combining disco, soul, and house into timeless sounds, delivering here a hypnotic reinterpretation that blends depth, a warm vibe, and funk bass lines inspired by the Chic style.
