Alton Miller - Afrika Alright [Mister Bear]

Deep house grandmaster Alton Miller is, in our opinion, one of the genre's most underrated names. The veteran innovator continues to deliver finely crafted sounds, as proven by this release on Mister Bear. Afrika Alright opens with smoky, soulful vocals, accompanied by beautiful flute melodies and ethereal synth explorations. Dub Afrika fills out the body with smooth, enveloping basslines, while Hang On brings bright xylophone melodies and cluttered percussion to African-tinged house. Lastly, Super Hero closes with playful synth leads and interesting sound design adding richness to a dusty deep house groove. Timeless material, as always, from Miller.
