Albino Sound - Black Lagoon [Modern Obscure Music]

Modern Obscure Music has been forging ties with the Far East ever since label head Pedro Vian visited Japan, and this is their first 12” vinyl release from a Japanese artist. Albino Sound is Hirotaka Umetani from Osaka, and he presents Black Lagoon here. This is an exciting EP of experimental soundscapes and off-kilter dance floor escapades, with a very special remix from German producer DJ Normal 4. Black Lagoon opens the EP with live percussion and mysterious sounds, followed by the hypnotic tones of Plum Valley. Transparent Colony is an open-armed ambient piece and the EP culminates with two versions of Dried Seeds. The original is an energetic cut and DJ Normal 4’s Vibe Strike Remix is an oriental synth-inspired mission.
