79.5 is the sound of New York City. The Brooklyn band has announced their upcoming self-titled album, due out via Razor-N-Tape. With a style full of soul and psychedelia, the masterful tunes in this new collection can be hard to categorize, spanning from 70s underground disco to acid jazz and sweet pop. Its very existence is a protest against the boys' club in the music industry, and a personal triumph against all odds, while illuminating the most beautiful collaboration among friends. The current lineup includes singer, songwriter and producer Kate Mattison, singer and rapper Lola Adanna, drummer Caito Sanchez (Charles Bradley, Lee Fields), bassist Andrew Raposo (Midnight Magic, Hess Is More) and saxophonist and flutist Izaak Mills.
