The story of how we first came across D.J. City.

Once upon a time, P.P. was playing a gig in Stockholm. We were picked up at the airport by the legend Sling, in what I recall was a beautiful old Jeep, which had a cassette player. That player was blasting a tape that quickly caught our attention. We found out it was “1-800 Techno,” a project by another local hero: D.J. City. We somehow managed to get our hands on the tape and digital files, and have been playing them ever since.

Years later, we met D.J. City at a Cocktail D'Amore show; it was a brief and pleasant introduction, right as he was handing over the turntables to us.

More time passed until we truly connected and began a working relationship that quickly evolved into a friendship. Almost 10 years later, we have the opportunity to properly shine a light on this project with which it all began.
