Having grown up surrounded by a mix ranging from rock, hip-hop and Latin jazz to techno and house, Yuu's immersive musical proposal draws inspiration from this diverse universe of influences to create \"healing and stimulating\" music for the mind and body. There is an elegance and sophistication in her productions that stems from her desire to make music guided by the philosophy of the Golden Ratio: finding a middle ground between two extremes, excess and scarcity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eActive as a DJ since the turn of the millennium—during which time she performed in clubs, festivals and fashion shows across Japan—she soon turned her attention to music production and has since independently released several singles, as well as undertaking sound commissions for Sony PlayStation 3, museums, theaters and clothing brands. Yuu's meditative sound palette immediately caught Cyphon's \"third ear,\" giving rise to the tracks that make up ‘Forever’: a collection of slow-tempo analogue electronica and leftfield minimal house that strikes a perfect balance between warmth and depth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe release opens with the EP's title track: a deep, emotional electro cut, marked by a brilliant synth line and ethereal vocals. ‘Mojito’ continues the EP's introspective journey, combining gentle spoken word with jazz-tinged chords and meandering melodies, before ‘Hug Close’ reduces the elements to a minimum, guided by a crisp minimal groove, warm and purposeful keys, and reflective synths.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe B-side takes a more soulful turn. The dark, enveloping atmosphere of ‘Illuminated Night’ is elevated by luminous synth flashes and R\u0026amp;B-tinged harmonic vocals. These influences continue into the closer, ‘Stay With Us’.
