Whereas “Architecture Dubs” featured remixers drawn from the golden era of mid-90s Drum \u0026amp; Bass – including such names as Peshay, Blame, 4Hero \u0026amp; Ray Keith – “New Town Dubs” now turns its attention to the new generation of producers inspired by the foundational sounds of Drum \u0026amp; Bass and Jungle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd who better to kick off the series than Tim Reaper? The London-based DJ and producer has become a key figure in the UK Jungle revival, and through his Future Retro label and events, he has been spreading the gospel of the new wave of Jungle to future generations of listeners. With releases on Deep Jungle, Myor, and Hooversound, amongst others, we are delighted to feature Tim Reaper on this release. His remix of 2021's “Unwound” is an absolute banger, bringing an irresistible dancefloor bounce whilst retaining just the right amount of atmosphere and Jungle-inspired drum programming present in the original.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the flip, we are pleased to welcome back an old friend of the label, Drumskull. Drumskull has been quietly making a big impact in the more progressive corners of the Jungle revival and related breakbeat-driven scenes since the release of his LP “Interlocked” in 2020. With recent releases on Sherelle's Hooversound label and an active DJ schedule, we are excited to see Drumskull's ascent.
