While it's popular to make 80s-inspired tracks today, that decade means different things to everyone – it can be A-ha and Modern Talking or African boogie and Chicago house. But in the end, we didn't quite end up making either.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe group of people who collaborated on this release is absolutely legendary. Every time I listen to it and think about them, a new dimension opens up in my mind, adding deeper layers of context that I've immersed myself in over the past few years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eItalian producer and bass player Marco Boccamazzo created the first remix. By adding electric bass and strings, he moved the track back another ten years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDJ Popinjay, an alter ego of a tropical disco master who prefers to remain anonymous, provided the second rework.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe third remix, or rather practically an entirely new track, comes from Sonestrose, a duo consisting of Andrey Algorithmic, the art director of Moscow Powerhouse, and Alexander Basian, the studio's sound engineer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIgnat Akimov, also known as DJ Pecan and art director of Esthetic Joys Embassy, crafted the fourth mind-bending remix, ranging from acid house with Indian drums to cool jazz sounds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLipelis and Scruscru helped me make some key decisions on the structure, arrangement, and mixing of the tracks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIlya Varankin took a photo of us (on film!) and Nikita Demin designed the Daptone Records-inspired artwork.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFinally, I want to thank my wife, Masha Dostoewskaya, without whose love and patience I would not have been able to bring this project to its conclusion.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Tenampa Record Shop","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46244564795555,"sku":null,"price":380.0,"currency_code":"MXN","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0583\/1239\/2867\/files\/image_92beb4c6-011b-4c8d-b997-a3a4ee41cc20.jpg?v=1758244076","url":"https:\/\/tenampa.mx\/en\/products\/senpolya-wassily-minkow-dont-kill-my-vibe-up-up-up","provider":"Tenampa","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
