Wandt was about to burst onto the scene hard, with his collaborative 2xLP alongside Wolf Müller and debut single from his band Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge. In the icy cold of his warehouse rehearsal space, Funke had him record a variety of slapped, rubbed, and scraped percussions (congas, talking drum, prepared cymbals played with a bass bow) over his tracks.
