Indifference.

That word reflects what I've frequently felt lately. Not just as a feeling, but as a longing for things less pronounced.

It seems to be a general zeitgeist phenomenon, but being part of the electronic music scene, I reflect a lot on what happens within this genre.

There has been a tendency towards extremes: either hard, intense, fast, and aggressive sounds, or the complete opposite. Catchy vocals with a pop flair, direct and easily identifiable melodies, smooth grooves, piano chords.

Either way, it gives the feeling that everything has to be very distinctive: aggressive or delicate, as long as it's extreme.

It seems to be a time when, whatever you do, it has to be impactful.

All of this is fine, of course, but it has never been my nature or my personality. There's a reason I chose the adjective “Recondite” as my artist name: because I identify with its meaning—“hidden, obscure, not obvious.”

“Indifferent” opposes this zeitgeist and represents a driving techno, with minimalistic melodic atmospheres, deep and enveloping vibrations, reserved yet powerful and determined in its own language, floating between melancholic despair and hope. Music that lives in the middle ground between hard and soft… aggressive and refined… neither black nor white.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0583/1239/2867/files/image_339226d1-22f5-4806-8d42-75484f585c1f.jpg?v=1741184786
