Habita, which garnered millions of streams, established Pahua as an essential voice of modern alternative folklore\/pop in Latin America, and now Razor-N-Tape takes her sound to the world’s dance floors with a varied remix package that honors the essence of the original music, while transforming it into a quintessentially RNT club-ready style.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe list of remixers on this project includes both veterans and new talent in the RNT production stable. Label co-founder JKriv turns in a late-night bass-heavy mix of the extremely popular ‘Porque Yo,’ Tigerbalm brings his characteristic chugging international disco flair to ‘Pa’lante,’ Prince of Queens delves into a deep house version of ‘Calla,’ and Londoner Clive From Accounts takes ‘Caña Brava’ into dark nu-disco-meets-amapiano territory. Newcomers to the label also shine, with Los Angeles-based producer Captain Planet and Quebecois producer Poirier, showing very different but equally potent sides of the uptempo ‘Espantapájaros,’ respectively percussive and driving, and stripped-down and hypnotic. Legendary Detroit Latin producer John Beltran graces the melancholic ‘Flor de Jazmin’ with a samba-infused rhythm section and lush horn arrangement that transports you straight to Cafe del Mar, Ibiza.
