It bangs hard, speeding up and slowing down like Ron Hardy in beast mode.

Out of nowhere, a soulful church organ appears - at first as a brief respite, but then in an extended solo, leading into an 80s electro-style section before returning to the original form. It shouldn’t work, but somehow it does, in a dizzying fashion, and therein lies Mayurashka’s magic: a complete audacity to norms and an expert touch that makes the unorthodox so appealing.

“Notango” takes another huge left turn: sitting somewhere between a tribal coven and a rain dance, it’s mostly made up of organic percussions and otherworldly sound effects that pull us deeper into the wormhole, before “Vat Murmur” brings us back to the light with its uptempo disco energy and heavy broken beat bassline. This track is equally for fans of Idjut Boys and Larry Levan.

The EP closes with the title track, “LSI Dreaming.” Trying to describe it is near impossible, but let’s just say it starts with mid-2000s tech house energy, Perlon-style, before rapidly escalating beyond all recognition and then maintaining with lysergic intensity. If Panorama Bar ever closed, this would be the track I would end on.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0583/1239/2867/files/image_18ef038e-44e9-4c93-b833-9f02ace79092.jpg?v=1756429793
