His DJ style and production approach act as a central expressive loop, with Jean-Jez embracing a multitude of styles and sounds in both.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUniting house, jazz, hip-hop, Afro-Latin and beyond, Jean-Jez focuses on nurturing the collective joy found within music, whether through his own tracks or submerged in the mix during a Kat Nip party.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“Soul Notion” wears its heart on its sleeve and embodies the fundamental musical principles that Jean-Jez holds dear. “Did You Want to Dance!” begins with a deep melodic embrace, before expanding with brass adornments, evocative percussion patterns, and vocal samples that awaken inner consciousness and set it to another rhythm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“Take Me to the Moon” contains a piano in the foreground, with fast-tempo drums bringing a twist and flair to the piece. Some inspired vocals further add to the atmosphere, a sense of lightness and emotional escapism.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“What Is It Tell Me” comes alive with a wide scope through the bass, but Jean-Jez unleashes a storm with a wonderful jazz guitar that weaves the ultimate spell to get lost deep within the track.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo close, Jean-Jez calls upon his own collective, Kedi Bounce, to put an acid spin on “Did You Want to Dance,” closing out the EP in style.
