He is now commemorated by his long-time writing and production partner, Eric Kupper. Eric, himself a seasoned DJ, producer and writer, has worked on over 116 #1 Billboard dance records and played a pivotal role in many of Frankie's productions. Having worked together for many years, they established themselves as “Director’s Cut” from 2011 and started to produce original releases and remixes based on the classic “Def Mix” sound, sharing credits equally for their creations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eTogether they reproduced and re-engineered classic cuts for modern dance floors, with versions including tracks from Marshall Jefferson, Ashford \u0026amp; Simpson, Artful \u0026amp; Ridney, and The Sunburst Band, alongside Frankie Knuckles originals.
