Both were involved last year in a VICE Magazine special about a field recording documentary, which marked the beginning of a new collaboration. Dominik and Arne revisited the newly recorded sounds in the studio and found that they shared the same musical foundation and understanding. From there, they began working on new tracks, and all signs point to this alliance continuing for a long time.

The first result of this joint work is "...A Little Further," which will be released in three distinct versions on Cocoon Recordings in the coming weeks (COR12117). We begin with the "Not On A Map" version: it seems tailor-made for after-hours and sunrise. Dominik and Arne create the perfect atmosphere for those special moments on the dance floor, combining energetic beats, interesting sounds, and emotional bass and synth programming. There are multiple layers and levels, but the whole never feels overloaded or excessive.

This is followed by the "37 Routes" version, which clearly stands out for its use of breakbeats and the absence of the classic 4/4 kick drum. The synthesizers are harsher and more powerful, and the bassline seems to leap out of the speakers, forming a forceful wall of sound. The direction is clear, although they incorporate magical and very well-executed breaks that harken back to the deeper side of Eulberg's sound, creating a great mix of two distinct visions of techno.

Finally, there is the "Imaginary Escort" version, which functions almost as a dub edit of "...A Little Further." Here, a colder and more reduced rhythmic programming is emphasized. It is the most DJ-friendly version: without big breaks, it keeps the groove rolling steadily, and it's easy to imagine the dance floors burning with this elegant groove. One of those tracks that DJs are eager to drop in their sets.

The three versions form a solid package and a powerful release that breathes pure techno. No pseudo retro-hype or forced tech-house mixes: this is techno. Big techno. And it leaves us even more excited for the upcoming festival season.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0583/1239/2867/files/image_26fd5087-d502-4758-9868-70027408d1c5.jpg?v=1768417223
