It's fitting that the label started 25 years ago, and now, for its 25th 12-inch vinyl release, Bushwacka! has delivered a stunning 4-track EP, defying time signatures and paying homage to his rave breakbeat days, as well as turning up the heat with electro cuts.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eA1. \"All Night in Heaven\" started as a rave house track, with an amazing breakbeat drop in the middle, but Bushwacka! changed the arrangement specifically for playing the song at the Return To Rage event at Heaven, where he used to rave every Thursday from 1988 to 1992. The track sounded so powerful on the dance floor that he decided to keep the breakbeat vibe throughout the whole track and release it on his Plank label.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eA2. \"It’s The Five O\" is a piece of music that defies gravity. It’s a fusion of percussive assault, tribal chant frenzy and a bassline coming from the depths of hell… but the magic of the track lies in its 5\/4 time signature. Incredibly challenging to mix, but so unique in its rhythm that people perform moves they didn’t know their bodies were capable of.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eB1. \"Feng Shui\" is a piece of dirty Electro Breaks that churns you inside and out. Bushwacka! stamps his signature Plank sound on this track, with raw beats and deep melodies and twisted and distorted sounds.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eB2. \"Whiplash\" was written three years ago in Bushwacka’s Ibiza studio. It’s a mix between electro and 4\/4 dance music, with a rhythm so powerful that dancefloors seem to be shaken by an earthquake. This is the purest of the tracks in its direct connection to the sounds of early 80s electro, yet it sounds like it was created today. It’s been tearing up club floors in his sets since 2017 and now needs to be shared.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlank Records has had a devoted following and second-hand tracks have changed hands for huge sums of money, with many vinyl labels re-releasing some of the cuts.
