He began producing in the mid-90s and has assembled an impressive collection of hardware that lends his music a raw, robust character. After breaking through with the party collective and label Wetmusik, he has let his music do the talking, fearlessly adding a touch of nostalgia. Over the years, his material has been released on several prominent labels, but his more recent work has come through SHDW's Mutual Rytm. His solo EP Ram Face (2023) became an underground favorite, complementing his contributions to the Federation Of Rytm II and Federation Of Rytm III compilations. Now, he returns in style, presenting a striking selection of gems on his new EP Remain Seated.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe opener, Peace Be With You, is a straightforward techno tool, with urgent flashes of synth peeling off the groove like police sirens. The drums hit hard, in true Alpharisc fashion, while Hail builds on that foundation with a more aggressive groove, topped with icy waves of white noise that electrify the dancefloor. Remain Seated brings a touch of trance energy with its bright synth layers illuminating the driving drums and saw-like bass loops.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNext, Look At This delivers another brilliantly forceful techno sound, with crushing drums and oxidized synth loops, layered with melancholic pads that add a cerebral nuance.
